At the terminal, you can take the Eiger Express gondola to the Eiger Glacier and finally to Jungfraujoch. If you wish, you can also take the cable car to Männlichen. Männlichen – Männlichen is a 2,343-metre mountain easily accessible from Wengen and Grindelwald. From Männlichen, you get a fantastic view of Mönch, Eiger, and Jungfrau.
Once in Lauterbrunnen village, bus services will link to Stechelberg, TrĂĽmmelbach Falls, and Isenfluh. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass you can easily add on Lauterbrunnen to your alps itinerary without an extra charge. Traveling via train from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen/Wengen takes 30 minutes.
There is no direct connection from Wengen Station to MĂĽrren. However, you can take the line 63 funicular to Lauterbrunnen, take the walk to Lauterbrunnen, Bahnhof, then take the line 141 bus to Stechelberg, Schilthornbahn. Alternatively, you can take the walk to MĂĽrren. Train operators.
You’ll need to bear in mind that there are no cars in Mürren, so you’ll have to either walk, get the bus or train back to Lauterbrunnen. Route map: L auterbrunnen to Mürren. Murren is a small village and Wengen is a larger village. Murren gets my nod for hiking and intimacy. Wengen gets the nod for a larger variety of hotels, restaurants, galleries, sights to see, and somewhat easier travel back to Lauterbrunnen. If hiking is a high priority, Murren is definitely best. Save. The main trail from Lauterbrunnen up to Wengen is wide and well groomed all year however it is uphill the whole way. Not particularly steep but up hill none the less. I believe the posted time from the sign across from the woodworking shop in Lauterbrunnen (across the river) up to Wengen (train station) is 1 hr 15 min.
From Lauterbrunnen station catch the bus opposite and then it is a 10 minute ride to the falls. The falls and caves were beautiful and dramatic. If on the bus back you get off in Lauterbrunnen town you can then walk to Staumbach waterfall which is about a 15 min walk.
Wengen to Lauterbrunnen trains run much much later in the night, though not at high frequency. Hence if worst comes to the worst you should be able to get a cab from Lauterbrunnen to Grindelwald; probably need to phone them, Lauterbrunnen station does not have a packed taxi rank late in the evening. < Erik> & [Sandya]

But if you take breaks, snacks, and photos, the hike can take up a whole day, about 8 to 9 hours in total. Important: The first and third day of this 3-day Lauterbrunnen itinerary is the same as the previous 3-day itinerary. The only difference will be on the second day when you visit Tanzbodeli instead of Mannlichen.
